GbX®
Configuration
GbX connector backplane modules come in
two lengths, 10 position or column and 25 position. The matching
daughtercard configuration is in multiples of 10 or 25 signal
"wafers" (1.85mm each). These modules can be combined with
power modules and modules containing polarizing and guidance
to achieve the desired pin count and mix of features. The
illustrations below show the basic dimensional footprint for
these respective modules. The drawings shown below are example
configurations and are not true representations of the available
GbX products (3, 4 and 5-Pair).

Daughtercard
Signal Modules
Shown in a multiple of 25 wafers
and a section of stiffener. Designs in multiples of
10 and 25 wafers. In general, signal pins can be designed
in combinations of 10 and 25 positions. |

Signal Modules
Show in the 25 position open
version. Also available with keying and guidance features.
10 position version also available. |

Daughtercard
Polarizing/Guidance Module
Can be matched with either 10
or 25 position backplane poloarizing/ guidance module,
in which case an appropriate adjoining daughtercard
signal module is used to complete the mated configuration,
as shown. May also be used alone with free standing
backplane guide pin (not shown). |

Polarizing/Guidance Module
Show in the 25 position right
orientation with keying and guidance. Both left and
right oriented versions available with 10 or 25 signal
columns. 8 polarizing clock positions are available
for each module. |

Module Assembly
Daughtercard Power Module:
8 dual beam independent contacts.
Backplane Power Module:
8 blade available in 3 lengths for sequential mating.
Blade lengths must be selected in corresponding pairs.
